i have a pre built computer from hp, google h8-1114 and click the first link for the specs. it has a random 300W psu. on nvidia's website it says the minimum psu you should have is 300W so i was set on getting it, but on newegg and evga and gigabyte site they say minimum 400W. would it work with my psu or not?

I read a review of the graphics card on Tom's Hardware site. They say it has lower power consumption because of it's Maxwell architecture. Be that as it may, graphics cards are still the most power hungry devices in your computer and going with the 400 watt PSU that newegg and gigabyte recommend might be your best choice. You don't want the PSU to be overstressed and overheating because of the new graphics card.
