Will guildwars work on a laptop?

Hello, buying this game (to waste some time) but cannot find if my system would be compatible, below is the requirements,
Just not sure about the graphics card cos i have a radeon igp320 card with 64mbs( a slightly unknown card) on a laptop, would it work?

ATI Radeon 8500 or GeForce 3 or 4 MX with 32MB of video memory
2 GB available hard drive space
Internet connection
DirectX 8.0

 

I'd need to see your laptop's specs to be sure, but from what I have read that is a rather old video card and it does not appear to have T&L which is generally required for a game like Guild Wars. I could be wrong, but even my relatively new laptop with a really nice gaming video card in it is not very well-suited for Guild Wars. I can play EVE Online with it, but it struggles with that and it has a 2 GHz processor. EVE is not as demanding as Guild Wars graphics-wise.

From what I have seen, your card is comparable to a Radeon 7000 and the minimum specs you list say Radeon 8500. The 7000 is below the 8500.

Based on my experiences with something newer than yours, but I'm pretty sure the answer is no. But it *is* still a guess.

I'll install Guild Wars on my laptop tonight, just to see how it plays.

heres the specs,

AMD Athlon xp 1788 ( 2200+)
448mb ram
ati radeon igp320m.

i tried some bench mark programs but ouldnt get any sense of the results or export them here.

It doesnt seem to have that t&l thing (whatever it is) tried lego starwars the other day but it wouldnt work, but most games (older ones like Starwars KOTOR, battlefield 1942) seem ok on it.

your vid card doesnt sport dx9 functions, thats why newer games won't work on it.
