will it run games?

hi, i have a 3400 athlon. 1024 ddr400 ram, and a gt6600 gfx card, i was wondering if i would be ablt to play some of the top games on full graphics, including farcry, doom 3 and the rest. could anyone tell me for sure what they think

nope, you have an XP which has a crappy core vs the a64, your ram could be slow and have poor bandwidth and the 6600 vanilla isnt a very strong card.

Stitched, your computer is awesome for gaming. How, you ask? Personally (and I'm ashamed of this), I have:

Athlon XP 2900 (OCed to 3200, Barton Core)
512MB RAM
ATI Radeon 9600XT

With this garbage , I am playing Doom 3 on medium graphics, Counter-Strike Source and Half-Life 2 on High, and getting around 40-50 FPS on each. Your computer is great, as long as you take good care of it, like I have with my bucket of bolts.

 

He specifically asked if he can do it on full graphx and top games like FC and D3.

full graphx means 1600x1200 AS/FSAA/32bit/full shadows; he will get like 6fps with that rig

 

Full everything? No. However, Roland is correct, you will be able to play Far Cry and Doom3 at good framerates. And it will look very good.

this may not be the best of all PCs but it is definetly a solid gameing pc.. not on max details and resolution but it should be able to play all games with decent graphics
