Will my PC support this GFX card?

    I have a Gigabyte GA-K8N Pro-SLI motherboard.
I'm thinking about upgrading my Geforce 6800GS to a Geforce 9800GT

If you check system requirements, it reads: Required Power Supply: 400 Watt/450 Watt

Is this misleading or is this really the only requirement I have to worry about?
I have a 520Watt PSU, so I'm thinking I'm in the clear to get this new card, however I just want to check with you pros out there to make sure. ;)

Any help on this is much appreciated!

9800GT is known to be 1/2 inch to 3/4 of an inch longer than the 6800GT (between 9 and 10 inches) so you'll need to examine your mobo to see if there's anything going to block it, or prevent the power connector from attaching.

Wattage of the power supply is only part of the story. This card is a brute and needs 26 amps on the +12 volt rail when it's working hard.

Cooling may also be an issue. Since it's a single width card, you might need an exhaust fan on your tower's side panel. Failing that you might have to run it with the side panel removed.

Other than that, I'd give it a try, as your mobo specs are SLI 2.3 compatible and should run this card. I'd also upgrade my ram to 3 gigs as this card will quickly become CPU/system bound without an adequate amount of ram.

Open your side panel and see how much amps do you have on oyur current PSU.As Prometheos write this card is WOW,so if you have a PSU with 18 or 20 Amps,I would suggest you firstly to buy quality PSU,then the WOW.
