I recently purchased a Dell computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 processor, 2.53 GHz, FSB speed 1066 MHz, 3mb L2 cache. The computer has 4 GB DDR2 SDRAM @ 800 MHz - 4 DIMMS. The graphics card is an ATI Radeon HD 3450 256 MB supporting HDMI.

I purchased this to play Call of Duty World at War. I had a P4 2.97 GHz with an old ATI Radeon X700 (I think). This computer's graphics card would not support the game.

The new computer will play COD WaW but it seems like it is in slow motion. Did I blow it? I thought since the processor was better it wouldn't need to have 3 GHz. Also, I have more memory than required. Can something be done to this computer so it will play COD WaW?

Almost every time when the graphics or framerate in a game won't live up to expectations, the graphics settings are to blame. Dial them down; you don't have to have them on max to have fun. If that doesn't work, look at graphics driers next.

yeah, that should play the game just fine....are you having problems in single player or multi? you can lower the antialiasing settings and maybe the resolution to see how it does...maybe start from a real low setting then change them slightly to see how high you can go....
