We really cant tell you unless we know what motherboard you have...

Download and install this program : http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4181

Open it up once installed and click Motherboard then click motherboard again, and tell us what it says under Motherboard Name.

Hrm... Im not able to be 100% sure.. but i think it will.. Just in case, you can remove your sidepanel, and take a look inside. If theres a brown slot, its AGP.

As of now im 70% sure that card will work. Your Dell may only support AGP 4x...

Heres a way to find out what card you have in your comp right now, which will help figure out if your dell supports AGP4x or 8x. Courtesy of Dell!

    Click the Start button.

Click Control Panel and the Pick a Category window appears.

    Click Performance and Maintenance.

Click the icon named System to open the System Properties window.

    Click the Hardware tab.

Click the Device Manager button located in the center to open the Device Manager

Click the plus (+) sign next to Display Adapters and it will list the video card.

I ended up not getting that graphics card. I still don't even know what slots I have. I looked inside my computer and saw no "brown slots".

From my understanding there are 3 different slots for a graphics card:
    PCI
    AGP
    PCIe.

I'm still confused about what my computer has and what graphics card my computer can take.

Right now I have a NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 420 - I wanted to upgrade it to something better.

I did the directions below and it still did not tell me what slots I have. Any help would be appreciated.

I also have pictures that I will upload of the inside of my computer.

    - Mike

even if your board only supports AGP4x, you can run an AGP8x card without problems. It may limit the card's potential, but not too significantly.

$150 is a tad bit pricey for that car, but not too bad.

for example, you could get the next level, a 9800 Pro, from Newegg for cheaper http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102362&CMP=OTC-pr1c3watch&ATT=Video+Cards

or even better, a 6600GT AGP for about the same price as your link http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814150089&CMP=OTC-pr1c3watch&ATT=Video+Cards

Newegg is very fast with shipping and a very reliable company.

If you can get a 6600 GT for the same price then go for it.

It's a more powerful and modern chip, and much better value.

If you want to know if you have an AGP slot, you already have Everest, that will tell you.

The only difference between 4x and 8x is the bus speed.

Thanks for the help gentlemen. You guys are truly a great help for someone like me that does not know very much about computers. I'm going to go for the XFX Geforce 6600GT since two of you recommended it. Just gotta wait for newegg to get it in  - Thanks again - Mike

I don't know what prices are like on your planet, but if you can get a 6800 then go for it.

If there isn't much of a price difference get a 256 mb one instead of a 128 mb one.

I know current games don't use that much, but it may help in the future.
