Win 10 Zip Files?

About a month ago I had to extract a .rar file and installed Winzip and uninstalled it because of their nag. Now I can no longer create a compressed folder when clicking new. How do I get Win 10's native zip folder back? I tried googling it with no luck.

 

Locate any zip file or just create a new text document and rename it with the zip file extension
Right click and select properties
Click on the Change button (see pic if in doubt) and select File Explorer
Press Apply then OK

I can copy, rename, and empty an existing .zip file, it is a kludge, but Windows can extract and copy to it OK.

Does a .zip file now open with Windows own zipping utility or not?
Have you uninstalled WinZip?
Next is to add Zip to the context menu by following the link Eldon posted.

 

Can you compress files? If not, try 7Zip. It can create archives in several different formats. Just Google it.

 

The menu options shown on post #4 no longer have compressed folder options, I want it back. Am I misremembering it?

 

I googled it, there is also send to option that works (dang brain damage).
