win 2K prob

My windows 2000 just decided to start asking me for my password today. My OS was loaded on a year ago by a friend who is now unavailable and I never got around to finding out if he put in a password or username. So I can't access my desktop at all. When I boot up I get a window with two fields one asks for my username the other one asks for my password.I don't know either. Also in the window is a choice of OK or SHUTDOWN. Is there any way around this username password window?

the default username is Administrator.. hope your friend didn't put in a password. .leave it blank and hit enter.. otherwise.. j00 is screwed..

Kodo right you are. Except you can't put a curser in the password field and you can't touch the mouse. You have to type in administrator and TAB over to ok and it lets you in.
