Win 7 Compatibility

Okay So I had to buy a new computer. I am upgrading to Windows & because I tried vista once, hated it and won't go back.

The thing is... At least three of my favorite programs run on XP Just fine and I an kind of scared that they won't run on W7. So any help out there would be greatly appreciated.

does anyone know if. Office 2003, Nero 8 and Photoshop CS2 will run on Win 7 I would absolutely hate to shell out money for upgrades to those programs. I am not pleased with the changes in functionality in photoshop ( i still adore Image ready) I just got Nero 8 Last year, and Office 2003... I like the interface and the Office assistant.

Thanx Halo. Looks like I will have to skip the OEM Upgrade from HP and go out and get a retail version of 7 then. The version I would be getting doesn't offer XP mode.

Compatability mode is changing the way Vista or 7 treats the software by modifying the properties of the installer or exe file or running the Program compatibility wizard Control Panel > All Control Panel items > Troubleshooting > Programs > Program Compatability. It is not the same as XP mode.
