Win 7 deploy Problem On Network

I am new to this my IT person is out with a death in the family, We bought a new pc and he got it ready for one of our users to switch out. He left instructions to replace and run Microsoft easy transfer from old computer to the external hd we have and then connect to new computer and run easy transfer again. On new machine. All went well except one of the programs my user uses isn’t on the new computer. I copied the file folder where the program was pointing on the old computer and put it on the new computer still doesn’t work the exe file it was pointing to on the old ones not working on the new. What do I do to fix this? The user was added to our network and domain with the new computer no problem. The old file was pointing to a file on her c drive…so help how do I get the program to work on the new computer…no disk no image…??? Went from win xp pro serv pack 3 to win 7 pro

You need to reinstall the program probably, not all programs actually transfer via the windows easy transfer.
