Long story short. I had a bad installation which affected the Win 7 OS and slowed it down. I backed up my files to DVD's, using the System Recovery tools, then reinstalled windows from a restore partition. I then ran the DVD's to try and reinstall the old files. All it did was create and place the files in a 'System Recovery' folder. How now do I get the files to be replaced properly on the computer. I tried to copy and it only works for 1/3 of the files. I tried to restore from backup and its not recognizing them as a backup.
