Hello everyone. I have a Windows 7 Professional Edition (64 bit) computer. I am getting an error at login. This program is blocked by group policy. The executable file displayed is agent_launcher.exe
    in the path: C:\users\profileName\AppData\Local\Temp\RarSFX0\agent_launcher.exe
I had this problem happen a while ago, and I can't remember how I fixed it. I suspect it might have something to do with a agent process running for BitDefender AntiVirus. I attached a screen shot as well. Although, BitDefender still is running and I don't see any errors. I do not see the folder RarSFX0 or the file agent_launcher.exe when I search for it, or any reference to agent_launcher in registry / startup services. I updated BitDefedent and it is running. I ran a scan for any virus, and also ran MalwareBytes and do not see any issues. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Apparently this is a protected file from Bitdefender Antivirus that should have been removed after installation.
Do you see the RarSFX0 folder in the temp folder?

Thanks very much for replying. I don't see the RarSFX0 folder in the temp. I also did a search for the file agent_launcher.exe, and it is not found either. I recall getting this error before and I managed to fix it, but I forget how I did it. I usual will take notes on when I fix something like this for future reference, but in this case I didn't.

Look in Services for anything relating to RarSFX0 and agent_launcher.exe.

I check in the services for a reference to
dRarSFX0 and agent_launcher.exe but haven't noticed either. I will have to keep checking. I appreciate your assistance.

To be on the safe side, I suggest you contact Bitdefender.

I did contact them, they aren't sure what the exact issue is, so I will have to keep investigating. Thanks again.

Is there anything in Task Scheduler?

I think I found the service that causes the issue, I didn't notice before because the service name isn't labeled BitDefender. It is called: ProductAgentService.
    It runs the program file:
    C:\Program Files\Bitdefender Agent\ProductAgentService.exe,
not the agent_launcher.exe, as indicated by the error.
When I run that service manually, that is when I get the error, blocked by Group Policy. When I looked up info on the program, apparently it is related to BD Total Protection, I am not running that version. I tried to set the Service Startup Type from auto to manual earlier, but it started anyway after I rebooted, and that is why I got the error again.

Thanks again for all the help. I am also going to follow up with BitDefender now that I have more info.

I contacted BitDefender but haven't heard back from them yet. I don't want to remove the service until I hear from them.

I heard back from BitDefender, they indicated th policy error you've shown here is rather unusual and to check the permissions on the temp folder. I have the proper permissions. I let them know but haven't heard any other updates. What is strange is the service:
ProductAgentService, is what is triggering the Group Policy error with the file agent_launcher.exe, which I don't see on my computer, nor can I find a reference to the agent_launcher.exe in the registry or any other service. I guess I will just have to keep searching and hope I hear back from BitDefender. Thanks again.
