Have recently taken delivery of new PC with win 7 fitted, have had a few teething problems, even down to a having to do complete manufacturers reset when PC constantly froze!!

    Two problems now remain
    1. CD/DVD drawer will not answer to button..it can be opened by going to "my computer" and selecting eject but even then it has to be closed by hand.It has to be said that 7dyas ago when first delivered it worked fine???

2.Also Occasionally "open pages" instead of "snap" closiong seem to wobble and fade away very erratically??

    Any advice please>:confused

I cannot help you on issue 2 but the CD drawer sounds like a mechancial problem. Take it back to where to bought it and have them replace the CD/DVD.

Yes,I was thinking along those lines,my only hesitation in that it is the PCworld/dixons/Currys chain, whose customer feedback has been terrible!

Can you eject the disk when you first turn the machine on before the OS has started when it's doing its memory test?
If not try pulling the data lead out of the back of the drive leaving just the power connector in then will it eject?

Hi you have lost me slightly..are you referring to the leads that actually go to the drive inside the pc/?
