Win7 64 bit, wired Gigabit LAN to DSL.
On my laptop I was getting rated speeds on the DSL through the LAN connection. Usually around 100 - 150 KBS. This went on for weeks whenever I downloaded or replicated.
I need to go out of town so I pulled out my much hated Sprint air card and set it up. The card tested good and I plugged my LAN back in. Win7 recognized the LAN connection as another network and asked what type it was. I said home/work. Much to my dismay I cannot get over 30K and my Speakeasy test is also much slower. The other computers here are unaffected. I now have Network2 and cannot find the original Network 1 :(

Any ideas what Win 7 did?

    Hi

Guessing the Sprint AirCard has removed your original LAN driver, I would uninstall the Sprint driver and then reboot and check for the original driver and speed, but may need to re-install the LAN driver.

In Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections what networks are listed?

Whats your motherboard make and model or PC make and model?

Thanks, that got things back to normal. I downloaded the driver for the LAN, deleted all network connections, rebooted and reinstalled.
I will be taking my older Dell and get back to this problem later.
