    Hi Guys,

I was just curios as to whether it is at all possible or not to speed up a USB port to increase data transfer rates? I got bought a brand new Asus K53E Notebook, its got a 2.5Ghz Quad Core Intel i5 CPU, 4GB DDR3 Ram, Intel HD 3000 Graphics, etc and 1x USB 3.0 Port, and 2x USB 2.1 Ports, Now connecting my 2 Terrabyte USB 3 Hard Drive to the USB 3 port and copying files across I get around 70 Megabytes a Second stable data transfer rate, and connecting my 1 terrabyte USB 2 hard drive to the USB 2 port, I get around 37 Megabytes a second data transfer rate, however, when connecting my 16GB USB Thumb Drive and copying files to it, it starts off fast for the first few seconds, then drops to around 4 megabytes a second MAX, and stays that way until the file is finished copying, is there any way at all to speed this up, it never ever use to be this slow, it use to be around 30 MB/Sec, but oddly its just dropped to this much slower speed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium, and everything else seems fine, except my start up menu, theirs about 25 items in the boot list that I will try and get help with cutting right down at a later date,

    Cheers,
