win 8.1 loaded software

    as far as loaded programs in win 8.1 i have 65 in software and 29 in the OS

    sorry hit wrong key what can i get rid of since i save no pics or vids , music
    hp envy
    intel I7-4510U----- 16 gigs ram-- win 8.1 64byte - geforce 840m
    what can i get rid of / how can i cut and paste my task manager to show you

    Type snip when on the Start screen and Snipping Tool will pop up. Use that to mark out and save as a pic file any part of the screen. Then attach the pic to your post using Manage Attachments. Alternatively you can upload the pics to a file sharing site and just post the links here.

    ok - i will try that on a off workday and post again -- it is that my new l/top is not slow but , that is a lot of program clutter i dont need and i can replace with programs more friendly :major

    found what you were talking about sniptool . the capture will have to be in no less than six captures . will that be a problem ?

    Hi

    Do you see a problem with these loaded programs, and/or do you wish to remove some and if this is an OEM (HP, DELL, Lenovo etc) PC then this app PC-DeCrapifer will help and then when removed alot of junk pre-insalled apps you can just follow the below which is a CCleaner list of installed apps and we can advice on whats useful or not.

    no - i am not seeing any problems . it works great just that i am used to seeing so much running . not like win 7 and xp .... win 7 i have it down to 59 programs n the old xp pro i had was down to 39 ..... can i disable connected drive n connected photo since i don't use them ?
    i guess i am not used to the amount of stuff win 8.1 has to run

    am using cox preferred high speed with turbo boost with a asus AC1900 , surfboad SB6183 . the hp has a wifi ac card

    well davidgp i used pcdecrap and was aware that it was loaded with 3rd party software
    i start to look and decline before it was finished kis int sec started a rootkit scan finding all kinds of stuff from majorgeeks download link / malwarebytes found 30 pups and quarantined all am running kis full scan again along with s/antispyware full ----- please ck your link --- i will be up a while cleaning this mess up on a brand new computer , it killed my wifi connection and have to reset new passwords on everything , kept my from loging in
    am not mad just disappointed

    Thanks for the info, and sorry to hear that as I was a bit stunned that PC Decrapifier added any unwanted programs to your PC as it does not install, its a standalone app, I did scan the exe with Jotti (an online scanner for multiple malware scans of an exe) and gained this report back HERE

    I will give a heads up to the owners of this site to look at this as we do really look into the apps listed and I have not had any issues personally with PC Decrapifier, even just ran again on my desktop to check, then check with MBAM.

    I just ran it. PC Decrapifier is a portable app. It just runs. There's no third party programs and nothing gets installed. You didn't get it from us or that program.

    unless i did something wrong / which i . well strange things do happen . i did save the mbam scan log which was loaded with 30 pup's from binkland and binklad.A
    like i said am not mad just . well i will never use that app.... and again thanks guys you are always so helpful , have run another scan and found nothing . have been deleting a file at a time to make sure i didn't mess anything up . ck reg / for nothing of binkland . again thanks for all the help ... will get back if something strange happens . oh can a disable connected drive n connected photo - i use don't use either
