   I am trying to update from Win 8 to Win 8.1. When I try the upgrade I get the message that I have to get the most recent Win 8 upgrades. Have done so, definitely have the most recent updates, Still cannot get to upgrade to Win 8.1, still says to update. The only one I get in the store now is the purchase. Upgraded to Win8.1 several times and never had a problem. I am using Win 8 Pro. No luck. Any help greatly appreciated.

   If you still have this issue then I have come across this sort of issue before and the best fix was a registry batch file as in this one I have on my OneDrive account https://onedrive.live.com/?gologin=1&mkt=en-GB#cid=B316FD2B0F78CEE5&id=B316FD2B0F78CEE5!9534 there are 3 options and apps to try to fix Win Update I have saved so one or all may work.
   
   If running the updateapp.bat then right click it an choose Run as Administrator
