win 8.1

just got a new HP lappy with win 8.1 .. i am a xp win 7 user how do i set up my new HP 17.3 intel 7 12 gig 1 terabyte... the last thing i want to do is mess this up and thanks n happy holidays :cool

You will at times want to go back and do something differently, happens with all of us. Best advice I can offer is get yourself an imaging program - AOMEI Backupper, Macrium Reflect - and a large external drive to keep your image files on. Take images at each important stage in setting it up so that you can undo whenever necessary and get it the way you want it.

Win 8.1 is rather different from previous versions and you do need to take your time setting up.
