    Hi all,

As the title of this thread suggests I have an annoying Internet Explorer 10 issue. (version 10.0.9200.17148 / Update Versions 10.0.22 (KB3003057))

I really do not care at all for the new start screen with all the revolting tiles for the touch screen era. I spend all my time in the desktop view, like any good geek using shortcuts.

Although I am perplexed by a suspected redirect?

I will use my regular I.E, pinned to my task bar, on the desk top to access the web. I have google as my default search engine.

However when I open a link with-in a web page it will then open it with the I.E version which is the tiled version, which is of course revolting and hideously different format. Oh it hurts my eyes..

Is there a uber geek out there with Win 8 knowledge, that can advise how to prevent the newer start / tile version, from hijacking the links that I open in the old traditional format nicer looking I.E view which I use from the desktop.

I have removed the tile for internet explorer in the start menu tiles view. But of course the issue still persists.

Thanks for your thoughts on this one.:wave

You need to go to desktop version of IE and click on tools then internet options then you should see in the tabs that you can make IE open in desktop mode only and then check the box underneath it then it will stop IE opening in metro mode.
