Win 8 My data Source

Hello
My data source appeared in Documents today and I cannot find out if I should keep it or not.
If not there is not much to discuss removing it.
Any advice?

It's part of office mail merge, so have you recently started using office?

Whether to delete it or not depends on the functionality you require in office but it isn't an essential file, for more info-

Yes, I found this to be true by replicating the mail merge.
Can the folder be removed safely if the mail merge will not be used again?

Yes it can be deleted but if you use mail merge again it will create another one.
