Win 8 Pro Serious Speaker Issue

Hi Guys,

I am borderline ready to rip my hair out trying to find a solution to this problem, basically I have Windows 8 Professional and I thought I would Opt for the cheap $14.99 USD upgrade that Microsoft offered us new PC and Laptop buyers with Windows 7, and its been an up and down ride, so I opted to go buy Windows 8 Pro outright, disregarding the upgrade version all together, but for the life of me, I cannot get Windows to change my speaker configuration at all, it is locked on as 2 speakers only, however I am using an Logitech Z506 Surround Sound Speaker + Sub Woofer system, and when I was running Windows 7 Ultimate I could go into the Audio settings and change it from the defaut 2.0 setting to the 5 speakers and 1 sub setting, however, Windows 8 does not allow this option, its locked in as 2 speakers, and you cannot click it to change it at all, I have tried this by using the Default windows 8 installed drivers for my soundcard, and also downloading the latest Realtek High Definition Audio Drivers from realtek for my system, still no go, so then I tried the Drivers & Software package from Realteks site, again, no luck!

Does anyone here know at all how to fix this issue, as I only get sound out of 2 of my 5 speakers right now, its hooked up correctly, just as it was with Windows 7 Ultimate, I am using the green plugged cable, as my Laptop only has 2 ports, 1 for speakers/headphones, the other for mic...
