:( I found 31 floppies In a set One boot flop, 30 95 operating system disks
QUESTION After formatting a drive with said floppie, do you search in dos for
directory for set up and after 1st disk it should prompt you to keep putting in disks until all is installed?????? I do not believe floppies have autorun:major

The first installation floppy should have a setup.exe file. Run it. You'll be prompted when it's time for the next disk in the install process.

I've had tons of floppies. Most have failed after a time. I don't know why but I think some static must build up in the plastic and magnetizes it so it won't work. Kept them in a case and all and they still failed after use. All that spinning etc.
    What do you'all think?

I explored the disks with my xp machine and double clicked setup exe. It tried to start Could not run on xp. so in dos I place first one in and
A:\ setup or search directory if I can remember it A:q To start process

A:\dir should show you what is on the floppy.

You can't do anything with these floppies in XP besides look at the contents of 'em. You'll need to boot to MSDOS (probably the first floppy) and then run the setup from there. You'll need to have a clean HD formatted in FAT32 or FAT16 before doing the install.
