I have a Win98 machine that was infected with a worm. I reformatted and reloaded my software, reintalling Win98. Now the PC cannot access my printer (on LPT 1), my CD Drive (which is on a SCSI ribbon and recognized when I bootup), nor my tape backup (an IDE drive). I only have basic software loaded, nothing fancy or esoteric. All of these worked fine before the worm. I have uninstalled and re-installed Windows a number of times and tried other things without any success.

At this point, I am dumfounded and have no idea what to do or try next. I don't think the equipment is bad; however, cannot say for certain since I am unable to try it on another machine.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated ...

    Thanks in advance ...

You need drivers installed. If you know the manufacturer of your hardware then you can go to the website and download these. If you can't find them then post the make/model of the hardware tat is not working and we'll try to help you find them.
Note that you will have to open the case to get the make/model of your SCSI card.
