    where can you find your emails in outlook express
    this HD is now a slave and I want to restore my previous emails
    this is not a bootable drive any longer

    Outlook Express 6 e-mails are held in .dbx files, use the find menu item from the Start menu. On my Windows 98 system they are held under each user profile or in the default profile under Application Data\Identities\...\Outlook Express.

    Similarly you may also need to copy/import the address book files, which are .wab files.
