win com

I recently received notice by spybot that I have something called "win com", which it doens't identify as anything, but shows up in my programs if I use add/remove. However trying to remove it, I get the message that it has important files in my computer. What is this thing? Do I really need it and its "important" files?
XP home edition
Service pack 2 installed.

 

Yes, I ran AVG and Spybot. But now that you've given me the web address, I think I understand what it is now. Nothing I use, it must have just jumped on. When I ran AVG (free edition), it came up with three new viruses, and spybot came up with 7 spywares. I'm guessing this came in with that crap, and it wasn't sure it was a spyware. I have never been to that website before, so it must have found its own way in. Thanks
