Hi, I had a video made on a scuba diving hoilday that I would like to copy for the rest of the group that was there.

I have WinDVD creator version 2.0 on my laptop.
The DVD has a VIDEO_TS file on it but WinDVD creator does not seem to support this.

Can anyone tell me how I can burn another copy of this VIDEO_TS file?
I dont know what type of camera the film was recorded on, It was a big underwater thing.

    Thanks in advance

Don't personally have the answer but the best reference link imo for Video queries is here:

    That should have the answers.

hi barrywhite23, i don't understand completely what do you mean VIDEO_TS, is it a file or it is a folder. If it is a file there must be other DVD *.vob files, this vob files are you movie, if video_ts is a folder, the only you need just to copy this folder to a new DVD.
By the way as i understand you have a dvd and you want to make a copy of it, yes?

yes I have a dvd i want to copy. On the dvd is 2 folders AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS. inside VIDEO_TS is 7 files:
    VIDEO_TS, VIDEO_TS.bup, VIDEO_TS.vob, VTS_01_0, VTS_01_0.bup, VTS_01_1.vob, VTS_01_2.vob.

If I double click the VIDEO_TS or VTS_01_0 the movie plays, the rest of the files dont open.

There are no files inside the AUDIO_TS folder.

Easiest way would be to grab DVD Shrink & install it. Load the DVD, open DVD Shrink & point it to the DVD Rom if necessary. The program is easy to figure out. If you have nero it will use that to burn. If not I'm not sure. Post back if you have issues with burning the DVD.

hello again! So all you need is to copy dvd to your HD, make a folder(for example "movie") and copy there AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders. Then use nero to make a disk movie:
there is an option "DVD movie", open it and burn down this 2 folders, so you'll get a copy.
P.s. VIDEO_TS - it's a folder where your movie is placed, and AUDIO_TS - in most times it's empty, this folder is needed to place copyrights of the authors of the DVD or some thing like this.
