WIN Phot Gallery (or an alternative) please?

Can anyone please possibly tell me if it's possible to merge file-folders in Windows Photo Gallery (I've tried to drag/drop but that doesn't work)?

In other words, I have a folder from yesterday, with, say, 5 photos in it, Today, I take only one more picture, and instead of having yet another folder, I would like to add this one photo to yesterdays folder...

If that is not possible, can anyone please recommend another prog that might allow this - or is just plain flat-out BETTER than Windows offering here in Vista (Home/Basic)?

Hi Glenn

Yes very possible and I have just made sure that it works with WLPG on my PC.

You can drag and drop the actual images over the folders (the folders will drag and drop to another folder) however as images are date tagged they will list in WLPG in date order in any folder, so maybe best not to drag and drop the actual dated folder but drag and drop the actual images from one folder to another.

Live Photo Gallery is pretty good and very powerful these days if you have the latest version, but as an alternative XNView is good (there are others like IfanView, Picasa etc etc)

Hi David,

Excellent - thank you, it worked perfectly.

Based-on your advice/recommendation, I will stick with WLPG (I obviously have MUCH to learn about it - especially the "Live" part [??]) - since I already know some of the basics of this prog., I would likely only become confused (and frustrated) by switching to something different, and then have even more *stuff* loaded on my machine - which I am ALWAYS VERY MUCH looking to avoid!
