Win protector plus? Opinions please!

What's the general consensus on this product?
Would you consider it safe to make all the updates that it says are needed?

It's not listed as a bad guy but I have no personal knowledge of it.

A quick Yahoo! search for Win Protector turned up this from ComputerAssociates: http://www.ca.com/securityadvisor/pest/pest.aspx?id=6748 It does look like malware, and is indeed a Remote Administration Tool, and not a good one from the looks of it.

 

Thanks for the knowledge - hard for the average person to tell who's friend and who's foe these days - but MG's always saves my personal bacon!
