win xp errors

I just upgraded my p3 700mhz computer from a 1.6gig hd and a
2 gig hd to a 80gig hd i decided since i had everything on disk i'd just start new but when i installed windows xp home edition on my new drive i started to get a message about a remote procedure call service problem and it would restart my computer in 1 min and then count down and restart. Now i'm also geting an error message for scvhost.exe it reads scvhost.exe has encoutered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.The scvhost error omes up right when i boot now and not only doesn't go away it repeats it self continually so eventually i'm sure they would fill my screen. If anyone can help it would be extremely appreciated. Thanks in advance.
