    Hi all
Anybody know why XP has my main drive @ F:

    Thanks Kernel
I tried that , but you cant change the name of the drive with XP on that is running

did you have other devices plugged in when you were installing windows? (other hard drives, USB drives, external hard drives..?)

if so, those are usually recognized and named first, forcing another letter to your windows installation.

i ALWAYS recommend having only the drive that you are installing windows on plugged in when you are reformatting to avoid this as well as other mistakes.

Don't see any problems with XP being installed on your F: drive, as that is where it installed itself on the computer that I'm using now, and it hasn't caused any issues. :)

for the most part, its not a problem-- however certain programs are set to install onto the C: drive rather than the systemroot drive, so they dont recognize that the windows drive is a different letter... just an annoyance really :p
