Win XP fax DLL file

    I'm trying to install the fax for Windows XP and it's asking for FXSCFGWZ.DLL . Can someone mail this file to me? Thanks.

    The most common answer to that question is that the installer cannot find the install path to the file..... you more likely need the XP CD in the drive and then in the copy files from box change or use browse to locate the XP CD and the i386 folder then continue...


    this should be the instruction path..( not got the FAX installed at home but just played with it )

    Run the FAX installation until it says it needs fxsapi.dll

    Place your Windows XP Home or Pro in your CD drive

    Open Explorer

    click on the drive letter (mine was G:) to show folders and files

    open the folder i\386

    there you will find the necessary file, titled FXSAPI (note: there is no extension DLL showing)

    double click on FXSAPI

    installation should finish


    or the ZIP attached is the DLL file

    I think I have given you the German version of that file SO here is the US/English one as I have just installed the FAX service.

    I also can use a full copy of the English version of the fxscfgwz.dll file. Can you help with such at attachment?

    Very Old thread, but I will see if I still have that file on my PC :)

    Edit: Here is location to DOWNLOAD that file.
