I'd like to create two different hardware profiles, the only difference being video drivers. In other words, I'd have one driver version in one profile, and another driver version in the other profile. I tried this once and it did not work; I ended up with the same video driver in both profiles. So, either I made a mistake or this can't be done.

I'm using Win XP, of course. I have a NVIDIA graphics card. I've read references , such as http://searchwincomputing.techtarget.com/tip/0,289483,sid68_gci1310691,00.html. They say to use Device Manager to create unique settings for different hardware profiles. That makes sense, since we're talking about a hardware profile. But, to change NVIDIA drivers, the normal procedure would be to go to Add or Remove Programs and remove NVIDIA Drivers, then install the desired driver. When I followed that procedure, as I said above, I ended up with the same video driver in both profiles.

So, can this be done? If so, how?
