I'm running a network between two computers both running XP Home.

I WAS able to share files. One computer is sharing 10 folders, and the other is sharing 2. So there's a total of 12 folders on the network. The only problem is, all of a sudden, no more folders will share. I can access the 12 that are there, and can put files into those 12, and they will be recognized, but I CAN'T share anymore folders from the one machine who is already sharing 10.

Is there a limit on how many folders you can share, or the files size? If not, does anyone knoe why we can't share anymore folders?

    Thanks.

Are these shares mapped? If they are mapped, you may run into the connection limit, which is 10.

Try to organize it into few main folders and sub folders.

Map only the main Folders. You would need to use an additional click to see sub folder but you might be able to share more than 10.
