win xp install

    hope all is well,

    can anyone help me with a problem i have installing xp on a hp compaq cq110-500 please.

    It's frying my brain, if you can call it that!##

    You did not mention the problem. First of all make sure that the hardware is working fine. Then watch a video on youtube an note down all the steps. After that try to install your windows.

    This is a netbook so there might be a key combo when turning it on to boot from an external optical drive. (My ASUS netbook has this feature). Attach an external CD/DVD drive and power the drive up with the XP disk in. Turn on the netbook and use the key so you get the menu to boot from the CD.
