win XP lag/delay

ive been having major problems with windows xp, the mouse "lags" every now and then, and they keyboard delays when i write(fast char repeat option is on)

ive formated my whole laptop, and in the windows xp installation setup the mouse still "lags".

BUT when i finish the installation, if i go onto a java game website (runescape.com) and load the game in IE, my mouse and keyboard work fine, until i close the webpage with the game on :-S

ive been on other forums and found people with the same problem:-

that doesnt work for me..

i have "ATI Radeon IGP 320M"


whats the problem? :S

direct X? java? drivers?



would be great for any thoughts or suggestions, im stuck
