    Hi All~

Trying to install XP Pro on a clean drive. Using the 6 (!) floppies from MS to boot into the CD-ROM (older system) and a 98 disk to verify the upgrade.

Goes fine until I put the XP disk back in and then it says:

The following value in the .SIF file used by Setup is corrupted or missing: Value 0 on the line in section [SourceDisksFiles] with key "SP1.cab".

Setup cannot continue. To quit Setup press F3.

Anyone know what I can do to get over this? The XP disk is brand new, I know it can't be that. I've followed MS' instructions to the letter.

    Any help suggestions greatly appreciated.

Any reason you can just use the XP disk instead of the floppies

The drive does not support bootable CDs or the CD itself is not bootable?

I suspect the latter, is this a...legit copy?

Most .sif errors come from bad copies to a CD-R.
