    Greetings all!

Got a question for ya'll... I don't know if this is even possible, but here goes!

I'm in the process of building a new system and I'm trying to save $$$ wherever I can.

Is it possible to transfer Windows XP Home from my existing system to the new system WITHOUT the boot disc?

    Thanks in advance!

Temporary solution would be to fit the old hard drive into the new PC, as "C".
This may work until you go to M$ for an update.
Then you will probably get grief, from M$, because the old "Confirmation ID" (the 42 digit code) will no longer agree with the installed hardware and software, of the old PC versus the new PC.

Then you will have to convince M$ that you have a valid XP installation.
XP experts please confirm/or not, the above. Bazza

Its a 50/50 chance of it working. But really your best bet is to do a fresh install on the new system to insure that there is no residual leftovers from the old system.
