Hi! I have a problem: sometimes, when I start my Win10/64 laptop, the external USB CD/DVD-ROM drive doesn't appear in This PC. It is connected, and the drive makes noise and shows its LCDs. What can be causing the issue? How do I fix it?

I don't plug in my USB burner until after the computer has booted. If you unplug and replug, does it now appear?

Does it have a Y connector for power or a power supply?

If it uses a single USB connector and has no other means of power, the USB port might nit be supplying enough power.

It is working now, but I may try your suggestion. BTW, it does use a wire as you have shown. :)
