Once again, having just enough knowledge to be dangerous struck home. I have two SATA disks that were set up as independent dynamic disks in a Windows 2000 Workstation system and mounted to different folders below the D: drive. I believe that the motherboard's SATA controller corrupted the drives' ID data therefore they can no longer be mounted. All intelligible MS recommended recovery procedures have been tried and have failed. Does anyone know of any utilitiy that will recognize an unmounted dynamic drive and attempt to recover the data from same? Any advice or direction (other than to a crematorium) would be greatly appreciated.
