win2k freezing

Why dose win 2k pro freez up?
There is no BSOD, it just freezes, I think it may be because of opera but have no idea, Anyone have anny sugestions? What can i do?

 

uhm, does it freeze during specific program, do you overclock?
or did you just run too many apps @ the same time.
did the activity led keep flashing while freeze, check taskmanager.

 

Well, i had LINUX on the HD before so i had to do a low level format and change the the harddrive to LBA in the bios, is that a problem?

 

urr, I'm no pc noob or anything, but what does LBA stand for ?

 

I forgot waht it stands for but its a new way to transefer information and its faster

well it alwayse happens when OPERA is on or when i close a page in opera, ill tell you if it dose it some other time,

 

Well i had the version 7.03 of opera and i got the new version
7.11 and hour ago and had no freezing so far.

lba is like a kind of ntfs or fat then ? or is it a mode run on top of that ?

 

nope, its to transfer data, its not the formatt of the harddrive.

 

Well it froze again, it may be becasue i was doin a full system scan, When i restarted the computer Win 2000 did a Checkdisk, what dose it mean?
