Win3.1 Screen Savers In Win98se?

I have two questions about running Windows 3.1 screen savers under Windows 98SE:

1. Can I do it?
2. Can I use After Dark for Windows 3.1 on Windows 98SE?

I tried a Win16 screensaver in Win98 today, and it locked the system up upon preview. And it was said to be a good one, too! :'( I guess I can't do it.

I have the After Dark disk and the More After Dark disk. I will try it out if it is said to work on Win98SE. Does it work on Win98SE?

 

How should we know?

I can enjoy After Dark again--on a Win98 computer! Thank you! BTW, the install program doesn't work on Win10/64. I found one that works on WinXP. Maybe I can use that....

 

I tried the archive.org link and downloaded the Suite version which was said to be compatible with Win10. The 4.0 version broke with an error stating that the Registry could not be written--even when run in Administrator mode--and 3.2 could not be run in my version of Windows. Win98 and WinXP are okay, though.
