Hi! I have two new laptops at a day program to replace one that stopped working: Windows is not starting up properly at all on it. :( Now, these laptops work, except I can't go online on them, and I can't access the Administrator account, as I don't know the password. I was able to kill the password on the old one but don't remember the name of the program I used. A few days ago, I looked again for such a program. The only one I found that was free was for trial purposes, but I forgot the name or URL. :( I tried it, and it broke two flash drives. :( In case I can't get the computers to work today, can anybody here recommend a good program to kill the passsword?

I'll look at it now. I was promised a new desktop at my day program, though but want to sell at least one of the new laptops from there on eBay. Thsnk you.

Uhh...I have a problem: I believe I have no flash drives that are both working and empty. :( The best I can get is the icon in This PC with no other information attached and the message "Insert a disk" when double-clicking it. I asked about this on the Hardware form, and people there tried to help me out but didn't succeed. I posted there again earlier today.

Do you need to preserve the operating system? A full reinstall could solve everything. Running Darik's Boot and Nuke would clear the drive to zeroes. Do you need OS images?

Well...it would be nice to get the old system to work, if that's what you mean. I already have two new laptops to replace the old and was promised a new desktop. :) I can get rid of the old computer but may want to extract some stuff off its hard drive first. The problem with the two new laptops is that I'm locked out of the Administrator's account because I don't know the password. :( Therefore, I can't install much on them, and I need certain programs and like others. I downloaded a program to fix the password, but it broke two flash drives. I also have no flash drives left I can spare for one recommended here. :( Maybe the new desktop will work. :)
