Does MG have any apps in their software group to set up a cache for
    memory under Win7?

I ran into a deal on 8Gb of mem for my older Biostar MCP6PB M2+ motherboard.

Can an effective cache be used for maxing out the memory on this machine?

Also how would the cache handle my programs? I have not used this technique previously.

The Biostar MCP6PB M2+ manufacturer says 4 GB max, although I had a PC once and went beyond the manufacturers max by installing a graphics card. I am assuming that you have 4 GB DDR2 memory mocules as the board has only two RAM slots, have looked into RAM drives but never felt the need for one. There are also quite a few processors compatible with that board.

Thanks for the reply. The board can take 8G at 800ms tops. I ordered a pair of ddr2 4g sticks 800ms. A bargain so if it doesn't work out my curiosity was satisfied.

If the extra mem could be configured like an ssd as a virtual drive or some such
then I could run programs in it. I can't say I'm sophisticated enough to
do such a thing. Was just wondering if some configurator was available for Win7.

I looked up the order. It's 2 Gb with 1gb x2 sticks not what I mentioned below. Still it's a big jump up from what's in there. That is my oldest board in service. It's been through a lot.
