I have a folder shared with two of my coworkers. All three of us are using Windows 7. Everything works fine as is, however, I would like to make the settings so that the other two users cannot copy the file(s) to their computers. Is this possible?

    Thanks,
    K

But you want them to be able to access them somehow?? If there are files that you don't want to be seen, you can choose to hide them. however, if the person needs to access a file in a shared folder, then the minimum of read access is needed.

after looking a little bit more, there might be some more things you can do, but are you sharing the folder with a homegroup? or just plain old file sharing (compatible with other versions of windows). and there might be something you can do depending on what type of file you are using.

  3. Have you tried set the permissions to read and list folder content only and denying everything else? If you want this done to the entire directory don't forget to set the permissions to inherit down.

Can't do homegroups because we are on a corporate domain. We basically want to share some media files; but I don't want them to be able to copy my files and take them home. The files are on my computer, I share the folder with them.
