Win8 Downloads folder

rolleyes I would like to include my Downloads folder in Libraries, since it is not currently there. The only way I can access the folder is to search for "downloads" in Apps where it is then displayed. I have several files which I have downloaded from online and I would like to be able to find the Downloads folder without having to Search for it in Apps. I would also like to know how I can make a shortcut on my desktop for the folder. Thank you all for your kind assistance.

By default, the Library folders are found in C:\Users\Username (inserting, of course, your actual user name). Creating a desktop shortcut is the same as for any other folder: right click, select "Send To", then "Desktop (create shortcut)."

Hi

In Windows 8.1 some things changed but the Downloads folder should still be evident, but in Windows Explorer its under Favorites, but you can add the Libraries back as in the below info steps

Open Windows Explorer and click the View tab then click Options then Change Folder and Search Options then General tab and at the bottom is Show Libraries, put a tick in the box and click apply and in Explorer is another section showing the Libraries.

In Windows 8.1 my Downloads folder is under Computer\Users\my user name\Downloads. As stated, create a shortcut as instructed.
