Win8 Laptop sleeps (not power settings)

New win8 Laptop power itself off after several hours on. I've set to 'Never" for both "battery" and "plugged in" in the power management.

Not over heating, fans and vents have plenty of room to circulate. Laptop lid is left open.

Laptop is running a slideshow on a TV via HDMI cable, but when I return in the morning it's gone to sleep and powered off. Laptop is set to use second screen only. When I hit the power button it wakes up and the slide show begins to run again.

I need it to stay on, any ideas why it's going to sleep against it's settings?

Try disabling Hibernation, slightly different process to Sleep but maybe the cause of your problem, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/920730

Worth a go as it rules this route out.
