    Greetings All -

I have an older PC which, for some reason, doesn't want to allow an Win98se install from the cd-rom. It keeps telling me to remove the floppy disk and restart shortly into the win98 install. I've reformatted the HD and changed the bios to ignore the floppy drive...No help. Any Thoughts?

I thought I'd try to load Win98se from Floppy, but I do not have the needed install disks. Are they available to download somewhere?

    Thanks,

    Acktom

Are you saying you want to do the entire installation with floppies, like you could with Win3.1 or Win95? You can't, the Win98 CAB files don't fit onto floppies, unlike previous windows versions. If you're having trouble installing from the CD drive, create a folder on the newly formatted hard drive, label it 'Win98cd' or something, and copy the contents of the Win98 CD into the folder. Then run the setup from within the HD folder. There's a lot more information about the various different installation problems & workarounds in the 'setup.txt' file on the Win98 CD.
