WIN98 help

    I just did a system restore on windows, and when it restored, it somehow messed up some of the files. i wanted to restore the comp to the original. like when i first bought it. when it got done with everything, all the former files were there, and some new files that win put on the drive. i want to erase this mess and start over. how do i do this????

    System Restore is not available in native Windows 98.

    Did you mean System File Checker ?
    Did you mean Windows Me ?
    Did you use some other application for system restore like "Go Back" ?

    I used the disk to restore windows. but a friend of mine figured it all out. thanks
