do windmills go clockwize in the northern hemisphere and anti clockwize in the southern
if so what happens at the equator

water goes clockwize in the northern hemisphere and anti clockwize in the southern. it goes glug and straight down at the equator

I'm confused - - - hang on a minute - - - no I'm not

 

I live in a land full of windmills and they can be set to rotate in both directions just by adjusting the angle of the sails.

The majority here are set to go clockwise.

I would like to point out that the windmill direction /water spinning direction is a complete and utter myth. It has been proven over and over again that they can spin in either direction.:-D

But don't tornados and hurricanes rotate in different directions depending on north/south of the equator??

And don't most people south of the equator part their hair right to left?

Back on topic, the whole question is beside the point as we all know the water flows off of the edge of the earth and thus there is no equator.

 

Have at you SIR. Having stood at the equator and seen water rotate clockwise on the north of the great line and anti on the south of the great line. Of course it was without human intervention.

Damn. Another thing I'm going to have to check out. :-D If you mean the windmill electricity grid generators, they are all imported from the Northern Hemisphere (AFAIK) so probably spin clockwise. :confused
