window larger than screen winxp

Hi. I have visited this site many times and I find it very useful. Now I have a question:
Is there a way, on WinXP, to resize a window so it is larger than the physical screen? If possible, a freeware solution.

I intend to use a GNU software, gvwm, to navigate the different parts of the big window.

gvwm provides grid of virtual desktops for Windows, allowing the user's workspace to be larger than the screen area.The practical upshot is that you can have several "desktops", allowing you to sort your windows and have a less cluttered workspace.

The windows I`d like to enlarge could be a browser window, office document, jpg viewer, etc.

I have searched for a registry tweak, and searched for a virtual desktop manager, but found nothing yet.

One year later, I found a solution ...

The freeware Infinite_Screen, on futureware.at http://ynea.futureware.at/cgi-bin/index.pl

It says that it is only tested on Win 7, but it worked fine on my winxp.

Thanks for posting the link to the program you found.

That is a very interesting utility. I don't know how often I would find use for it but I have been limited to the screen edges more than once when trying to hit a button with my mouse. I'm going to save that program as a tool for just that purpose.
